Auctus Advisors is a leading independent equity capital markets and advisory business with a focus on the energy sector.
Auctus was founded in early 2020 by a team with decades of experience across equity capital markets, investment banking and the energy industry.
We believe that this decade will continue to see significant opportunities in the energy sector. Globally, demand for energy is at record levels and continues to grow. Conversely, investment in traditional energy sources has been severely constrained. We believe this imbalance creates opportunities for both companies and investors.
We provide unconflicted, independent advice to companies. The principle that clients must always come first is central to everything we do. We are steadfast that optimal outcomes for clients can only be secured through avoiding the conflicts inherent in integrated investment banks and brokers.

Rupert Holdsworth Hunt
Rupert Holdsworth Hunt leads the corporate broking service at Auctus. He co-founded the UK business of FirstEnergy Capital (now part of Stifel Nicolaus Europe) in 2009. Rupert was a managing director in Equity Capital Markets responsible for institutional equity sales and corporate broking. Prior to this he worked in a similar role at both BMO Capital Markets and Canaccord Capital. Over the last 20 years, Rupert has gained significant knowledge of both the Canadian and London markets for natural resources companies and has led numerous IPO and secondary offerings on both sides of the Atlantic, in Continental Europe and in Australia. Rupert has an MSc from Imperial College London.
Stephane Foucaud
Stephane Foucaud runs institutional equity research at Auctus. He co-founded the UK business of FirstEnergy Capital (now part of Stifel Nicolaus Europe) in 2009. Stephane was a managing director for Equity Capital Markets responsible for European institutional research. Under his tenure, he was consistently highly ranked in the annual Extel survey and was selected as the #1 stock picker in the Energy sector by Thomson Reuters (previously Starmine) in their 2017 analyst awards. Before GMP FirstEnergy, he was a senior oil and gas analyst at Société Générale in London. Stephane also worked for Schlumberger for seven years in various technical, operational management and corporate strategy roles globally. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the National School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering of Nancy, France; a Master of Science in Exploration Production from the French Petroleum Institute and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in France.
Jonathan Wright
Jonathan Wright is responsible for the corporate finance business at Auctus. Prior to co-founding Auctus, Jonathan was a managing director at GMP FirstEnergy which he joined in February 2013. Prior to GMP FirstEnergy, Jonathan spent over 13 years at Seymour Pierce, where he was head of corporate finance. Jonathan has acted as the lead advisor on dozens of financing, M&A and other transactions, including numerous IPOs and fundraisings on AIM and the Official List and several hostile and recommended takeovers. Jonathan has wide experience advising companies subject to the Takeover Code across a broad range of industries. Prior to Seymour Pierce, Jonathan spent 5 years in private practice as a corporate lawyer where he specialised in advising small and medium sized public and private companies. Jonathan has a law degree from the University of Liverpool.
